I wasn't quite sure what to expect from Saturday. Instead, the rooftop ended up full for the entire afternoon, with some guests even discovering there wasn't a seat and coming back later. So I settled into the groove. Starting with warm Deep House and soulful rhythms, the set gradually moved through House, and deeper grooves without ever pushing too hard. The idea was simply to create the kind of atmosphere that works on a Mediterranean rooftop — relaxed enough for a drink and conversation, but with enough movement to keep the room connected. It turned out to be exactly what the crowd wanted. The music carried on as the sun went down, moving from the warmth of Franck Roger and Sebb Junior through Nina Simone, Chris Stussy, Kolter, Hot Since 82 and Deep Dish, with the rooftop staying busy all the way into the evening. Sometimes the best sets aren't the ones where you try to make something happen.
