eThekwini mayor - Cyril Xaba - says the municipality will investigate allegations by Umbumbulu residents that drivers of municipal water tankers are selling water instead of delivering it free of charge. This after a 38-year old resident died after being run over by the tanker after an altercation between residents who have been without water for a week, and the driver. The police is investigating the incident. Xaba says areas in the south of the metro are struggling with water supply due to aging infrastructure and population shifts. Dries Liebenberg  reports.
