Evening — April 3 — Amos 4:11

“Some of you I overthrew as I overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and you were like a firebrand snatched from a blaze, yet you did not return to Me,” declares the LORD. — Amos 4:11What a picture of sovereign grace — you were a firebrand plucked out of the burning, snatched from the fire by nothing but the hand of God. The wages of sin is death, and it's a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. But God, who delivered us from so great a death, still delivers. Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord. You weren't saved because you were worth saving — you were saved because He is merciful.
