Evening — July 7 — Matthew 20:28
just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” — Matthew 20:28Here is love — not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as the propitiation for our sins. That turns everything upside down. Your love for God is always a response, never the first move. While you were still weak, still a sinner, still an enemy — Christ died for you. Don't look inside for proof that you're loved; look at the cross.

Morning — July 7 — Matthew 4:1
Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. — Matthew 4:1This is a hard saying, but it's the testimony of a man who had been schooled by suffering. It is good for me that I was afflicted, that I might learn your statutes. Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep Your word. Affliction is not God's failure to be good; it's the classroom where He teaches you what you wouldn't learn in comfort. The psalmist didn't thank God for the pain itself, but for what the pain produced — a deeper knowledge of God and His ways.

Evening — July 6 — Psalm 26:3
For Your loving devotion is before my eyes, and I have walked in Your truth. — Psalm 26:3When some Israelites were unclean at Passover time, they brought their dilemma to Moses, who brought it to the Lord. They didn't presume, they waited on God's word. There's wisdom here: when you don't know what to do, bring it to the Lord and wait for His direction. God provided a second Passover for them — He's never at a loss for how to meet the needs of those who seek Him.

Morning — July 6 — Colossians 4:6
Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. — Colossians 4:6Moses knew that a journey without God's presence was a journey not worth taking. And the Lord replied, 'My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest'. Not just guidance from afar, but His abiding presence every step of the way. Jesus promised the same to His disciples — 'I am with you always'. Whatever road you're on today, you don't walk it alone; the God who gives rest walks with you.

Evening — July 5 — Romans 12:16
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but enjoy the company of the lowly. Do not be conceited. — Romans 12:16Martha was distracted with much serving, but Mary sat at Jesus' feet — and Jesus said Mary had chosen the good portion. One thing is needful, and it's not your to-do list. It's sitting at the feet of Christ and hearing His word. All the busyness in the world can't substitute for the one thing that won't be taken away from you. Don't let the good crowd out the best — the best is Jesus Himself.

Morning — July 5 — 1 John 4:16
And we have come to know and believe the love that God has for us. God is love; whoever abides in love abides in God, and God in him. — 1 John 4:16God revealed Himself to Israel at Marah as Jehovah-Rapha — the Lord who heals. That's not a blank check for physical healing in every circumstance, but it is a deep truth about His character. He heals broken hearts, binds up wounds, and restores the soul. The ultimate healing came through the stripes of Christ, who bore the sickness of your sin so you could be made whole. Whatever is broken in your life — body, heart, or spirit — He is the Lord who heals.

Evening — July 4 — 1 John 2:1,2
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate before the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. — 1 John 2:1,2Here's the promise that anchors every anxious heart: Jesus gives His sheep eternal life, and they shall never perish. No one can snatch them out of His hand — and they're also in the Father's hand. That's a double grip, and neither hand will let go. Your security doesn't rest on how well you're walking today; it rests on the finished work of the Good Shepherd who laid down His life for the sheep. If you're in His hand, you're safe.

Morning — July 4 — John 13:23
One of His disciples, the one whom Jesus loved, was reclining at His side. — John 13:23David commands his own soul to bless the Lord — because sometimes your soul doesn't feel like it. Forget not all His benefits. He forgives all your iniquities and heals all your diseases. He redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with steadfast love and mercy. You have more reasons to give thanks than you have breath to speak them.

Evening — July 3 — 1 Corinthians 1:28
He chose the lowly and despised things of the world, and the things that are not, to nullify the things that are, — 1 Corinthians 1:28You can make all the plans you want, but the Lord directs your steps. That sounds unsettling until you realize who's doing the directing. The same God who numbers your hairs and knows your frame is ordering your path. James was right — you don't even know what tomorrow holds, but you know the One who holds tomorrow. So plan with humility, and trust the hand that leads you better than you could ever lead yourself.

Morning — July 3 — Romans 8:17
And if we are children, then we are heirs: heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ—if indeed we suffer with Him, so that we may also be glorified with Him. — Romans 8:17When Israel stood trapped between the Red Sea and Pharaoh's army, Moses told them the last thing fear wants to hear: stand still. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. The battle isn't yours — it's the Lord's. So often we thrash and panic, trying to save ourselves, when God is saying, 'Be still, and know that I am God'. Your deliverance doesn't come from your scheming; it comes from watching the Lord make a way where there is no way.

Evening — July 2 — Matthew 26:44
So He left them and went away once more and prayed a third time, saying the same thing. — Matthew 26:44The mark of a true sheep isn't perfection — it's that they know the Shepherd's voice. Jesus said His sheep hear Him, and they follow Him. They won't follow a stranger because they don't recognize the voice of a hireling. This is the work of the Spirit, who gives you discernment to tell the difference between the voice of Christ and the noise of the world. If you belong to Him, you have ears to hear — so keep listening, and keep following.
-

Morning — July 2 — Exodus 12:43
And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, “This is the statute of the Passover: No foreigner is to eat of it. — Exodus 12:43What a relief — your salvation doesn't depend on your ability to hold on, but on God's commitment to finish what He started. The Lord will perfect that which concerns you. He who began a good work will carry it to completion. Your grip may falter, but His never does. He keeps you by His power, and nothing can snatch you from His hand.

Evening — July 1 — 1 Samuel 7:12
Afterward, Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying, “Thus far the LORD has helped us.” — 1 Samuel 7:12Samuel set up a stone and called it Ebenezer — 'Thus far the Lord has helped us'. Stop and mark God's faithfulness before you rush ahead. He has delivered you, provided for you, and carried you through things you thought would break you. Not one good promise has failed. So before you worry about tomorrow, look back at the stone and say it again: the Lord has helped us, and He will help us still.

717
Morning — July 1 — Galatians 5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, — Galatians 5:22Goodness isn't something you manufacture by trying harder — it's fruit, and fruit grows from a living vine. The Spirit produces in you what you could never produce in yourself. The same God who is kind to the ungrateful pours His goodness into His people so it can flow through them to others. Paul ties this directly to Christ's example: walk in love as He loved us. You're not called to be good in your own strength; you're called to bear the fruit of the One who dwells in you.

Evening — June 30 — Ecclesiastes 5:2
Do not be quick to speak, and do not be hasty in your heart to utter a word before God. After all, God is in heaven and you are on earth. So let your words be few. — Ecclesiastes 5:2When you come before the God of heaven, watch your step. He's in heaven, and you're on earth — so let your words be few. The Pharisees thought they'd be heard for their many words, but the tax collector who barely looked up went home justified. Jesus gave His disciples a simple prayer, not a lengthy ritual. True prayer isn't about impressing God with eloquence; it's about coming humbly, knowing He already knows what you need before you ask.

Morning — June 30 — Revelation 3:19
Those I love, I rebuke and discipline. Therefore be earnest and repent. — Revelation 3:19The Lord's discipline isn't a sign that He's against you — it's proof that He's for you. He rebukes and chastens those He loves, treating you as a Son, not a stranger. Like a Father who won't let his child run into danger, God's correction is His mercy in action. He doesn't afflict willingly, and He remembers that you are but dust. So when the refining comes, don't despise it—it's the hand of a Father who loves you too much to leave you as you are.

Evening — June 29 — Psalm 25:7
Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my rebellious acts; remember me according to Your loving devotion, because of Your goodness, O LORD. — Psalm 25:7It's a humbling thing to look back on the sins of your youth—the foolishness, the rebellion, the ways you ran from God. David knew that weight, and he cried out for mercy, not because he deserved it but because the Lord is good. And what a reply Scripture gives: God blots out your transgressions like a thick cloud, casting all your sins into the depths of the sea. Christ Himself has washed you from your sins in His own blood, so you can rest — your past is covered, not because you've made up for it, but because He has.
-
713
Morning — June 29 — 1 John 5:3
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome, — 1 John 5:3That sounds impossible until you realize who's writing and to whom. John is writing to those who've been born of God. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. When you love Him, obedience isn't a weight — it's a delight. This is His commandment: that we believe in Jesus Christ and love one another.
-
712
Evening — June 28 — 1 Timothy 4:1
Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, — 1 Timothy 4:1The Spirit plainly says that in later times some will depart from the faith, following deceiving spirits. That's sobering, but it doesn't have to shake you. The Word of God is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. Keep His Word hidden in your heart so you won't sin against Him. Take up the shield of faith.

Morning — June 28 — Job 19:25
But I know that my Redeemer lives, and in the end He will stand upon the earth. — Job 19:25He had lost everything—children, health, wealth, reputation—but he hadn’t lost his Redeemer. Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Because He lives, we will live also. If in Christ we have hope only for this life, we’re most to be pitied.
-
710
Evening — June 27 — Psalm 143:2
Do not bring Your servant into judgment, for no one alive is righteous before You. — Psalm 143:2That’s true. By works of the law no flesh will be justified. But here’s the Gospel: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow.
-
709
Morning — June 27 — Revelation 6:17
For the great day of Their wrath has come, and who is able to withstand it?” — Revelation 6:17If you’re standing in your own righteousness, no one can stand. But for those who are in Christ Jesus, there is no condemnation. He’s the Lamb who was slain, and by His blood a multitude from every nation stands before the throne.

Evening — June 26 — Exodus 12:42
Because the LORD kept a vigil that night to bring them out of the land of Egypt, this same night is to be a vigil to the LORD, to be observed by all the Israelites for the generations to come. — Exodus 12:42That Passover night in Egypt was a night to be remembered. The Lord brought His people out by blood and by power. But there's another night to remember — the night when Christ was betrayed, when He took bread and broke it, saying, "This is my body" (1 Cor. 11:23-25). The Passover lamb that saved Israel was a shadow.

Morning — June 26 — 1 Chronicles 4:10
And Jabez called out to the God of Israel, “If only You would bless me and enlarge my territory! May Your hand be with me and keep me from harm, so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted the request of Jabez. — 1 Chronicles 4:10He asked for blessing and protection, two things every believer needs. Jesus taught us to pray the same way: “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one” (Matt. 6:13). In His high priestly prayer, Jesus asked the Father to keep His people from the evil one. The Father hears.

Evening — June 25 — Zechariah 13:7
Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, against the man who is My Companion, declares the LORD of Hosts. Strike the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered, and I will turn My hand against the little ones. — Zechariah 13:7This is the most startling statement of Christ’s deity in the Old Testament. A man who is God’s equal. In Christ, all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily. He is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact imprint of His nature.

Morning — June 25 — 1 John 3:2
Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when Christ appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is. — 1 John 3:2Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared. But when He appears, we will be like Him, because we'll see Him as He is. We don't yet see the full picture — we see through a glass darkly. But one day we'll see Him face to face and be transformed into His likeness. That's the hope that purifies us.

704
Evening — June 24 — John 1:38,39
Jesus turned and saw them following. “What do you want?” He asked. They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which means Teacher), “where are You staying?” “Come and see,” He replied. So they went and saw where He was staying, and spent that day with Him. It was about the tenth hour. — John 1:38,39He didn’t give them an address—He gave them an invitation. Come and see where I dwell. Come and see My glory. “Blessed are those who dwell in Your house” (Ps. 84:4).
-
703
Morning — June 24 — Numbers 10:33
So they set out on a three-day journey from the mountain of the LORD, with the ark of the covenant of the LORD traveling ahead of them for those three days to seek a resting place for them. — Numbers 10:33The ark of the covenant went before Israel to find them a resting place. Christ, our true Ark, goes before His people. He doesn't just show you the way; He is the way. Your times are in His hand, and He will guide you with His eye. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.
-
702
Evening — June 23 — Ruth 3:1
One day Ruth’s mother-in-law Naomi said to her, “My daughter, should I not seek a resting place for you, that it may be well with you? — Ruth 3:1That’s the question God asks His children. There remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. Jesus says, “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matt. 11:28-30).

701
Morning — June 23 — JOHN14:16,17
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and will be in you. — JOHN14:16,17Jesus promised to ask the Father, who would give another Helper to be with us forever — the Spirit of truth. The Spirit isn't a vague force; He's the personal presence of God dwelling in you. He bears witness that you're a child of God. He helps you pray. He pours God's love into your heart.
-

Evening — June 22 — John 11:36
Then the Jews said, “See how He loved him!” — John 11:36Greater love has no one than this, that He lay down His life for His friends. Jesus wept not because He was powerless but because He was full of compassion. He loves His own to the end. Behold how He loved—not just Lazarus, but you.
-
699
Morning — June 22 — Colossians 3:3
For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. — Colossians 3:3Dead to sin, alive to God. Your true life isn't on display; it's hidden away with Christ in the secret place of the Most High. That means your security doesn't depend on what you can see or feel. Your life is tethered to the risen Christ, who is seated at God's right hand. The world can't touch that.
-
698
Evening — June 21 — Song of Solomon 5:6
I opened for my beloved, but he had turned and gone. My heart sank at his departure. I sought him, but did not find him. I called, but he did not answer. — Song of Solomon 5:6The bride in Song of Songs sought her beloved and couldn't find him. Sometimes you seek the Lord and He seems silent. When Israel sinned with Achan's gold, the Lord said, "I will be with you no more, unless you destroy the devoted things" (Josh. 7:8-12). Your sins can separate you from the sense of His presence.
-
697
Morning — June 21 — I Peter 2:21
For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in His footsteps: — I Peter 2:21Christ suffered for you, leaving an example that you should follow in His steps. He didn't come to be served but to serve. When reviled, He didn't revile in return. When crucified, He prayed for His persecutors. Following His steps doesn't mean replicating His atoning work — only He could do that.
-
696
Evening — June 20 — Psalm 139:3
You search out my path and my lying down; You are aware of all my ways. — Psalm 139:3David marveled that God was with him at every moment — when he got up and when he lay down. Jacob woke from his dream and said, "Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it" (Gen. 28:16-17). The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth, not to catch you but to strengthen you. You're never alone.
-
695
Morning — June 20 — Exodus 2:9
Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “Take this child and nurse him for me, and I will pay your wages.” So the woman took the boy and nursed him. — Exodus 2:9Pharaoh's daughter hired Moses' own mother to nurse him — and paid her for it. That's a picture of how God works: He gives you back what you thought you'd lost, and He pays you for the privilege of serving Him. Even a cup of cold water given in His name won't lose its reward. You're not working for wages you earn; you're serving a King who rewards grace with more grace.
-
694
Evening — June 19 — Revelation 3
“To the angel of the church in Sardis write: These are the words of the One who holds the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation for being alive, yet you are dead. — Revelation 3The Laodicean church was called to buy from Christ gold refined in the fire. That gold is genuine faith, tested and proven. Don't be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes. The testing of your faith produces steadfastness, and it's more precious than gold that perishes. The refiner's fire burns away the dross so that only what's real remains.
-
693
Morning — June 19 — Hebrews 12:14
Pursue peace with everyone, as well as holiness, without which no one will see the Lord. — Hebrews 12:14That's a sobering word, but it doesn't send you to self-effort. You must be born again to even see the kingdom. Holiness is not something you produce; it's what you're called to in Christ, who chose you before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless. Be holy as He is holy — a command that's also a promise.
-
692
Evening — June 18 — Matthew 17:20
“Because you have so little faith,” He answered. “For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” — Matthew 17:20Jesus said if you have faith like a mustard seed, nothing will be impossible. It's not the size of your faith that matters, but the object. A tiny faith in a great God can move mountains. Gideon and Barak did impossible things with small faith and a big God. The apostles cried, "Increase our faith!" (Luke 17:5).
-
691
Morning — June 18 — Exodus 25:21,22
Set the mercy seat atop the ark, and put the Testimony that I will give you into the ark. And I will meet with you there above the mercy seat, between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the Testimony; I will speak with you about all that I command you regarding the Israelites. — Exodus 25:21,22God told Moses to place the mercy seat on the ark, and there He would meet with His people. But access was limited — only the high priest, once a year, with blood. When Christ died, the veil was torn, and the way into the Holy of Holies was opened. The mercy seat where blood was sprinkled is now accessible to you. Come boldly to the throne of grace.

Evening — June 17 — Psalm 145:10
All You have made will give You thanks, O LORD, and Your saints will bless You. — Psalm 145:10Everything God has made declares His glory, but His redeemed people have a special calling — to bless Him with their lips and their lives. Bless the Lord, O my soul. Mary sang, "My soul magnifies the Lord" (Luke 1:46-47). You were created for worship. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

689
Morning — June 17 — Philippians 4:6
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. — Philippians 4:6Not in some things, not in big things — everything. The Spirit helps us in our weakness. You don't need eloquent prayers; God hears the cry of His children. Take your anxieties to Him, and the peace that surpasses understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
-
688
Evening — June 16 — Revelation 3:11
I am coming soon. Hold fast to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. — Revelation 3:11This isn't salvation by works — it's a warning to persevere. The crown is a gift, but it's given to those who endure. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it's God who works in you. The one who endures to the end will be saved. Hold fast because He's holding you.

687
Morning — June 16 — Ephesians 5:15,16
Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. — Ephesians 5:15,16Paul tells us to walk carefully, making the most of every opportunity because the days are evil. That doesn't mean frantic busyness. It means intentionality — knowing that time is a gift and that each day brings you closer to Christ's return. Don't drift. Watch and be ready.
-
686
Evening — June 15 — Romans 8:27
And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. — Romans 8:27When you don't know how to pray, the Spirit intercedes for you according to God's will. That's a comfort you can't exhaust. You don't need to find the perfect words; the Spirit translates your groans into petitions that the Father always hears. This is why we're told to pray without ceasing — not because you'll get it right, but because the Spirit prays through you.
-
685
Morning — June 15 — Deuteronomy 29:29
The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, so that we may follow all the words of this law. — Deuteronomy 29:29There's so much we don't know — the timing of Christ's return, the details of providence, the mysteries of election. But what God has revealed in His Word is enough. We don't need to pry into secrets He's kept. We need to obey what He's shown us. The secret things are His; the revealed things are ours.

684
Evening — June 14 — Luke 10:41
“Martha, Martha,” the Lord replied, “you are worried and upset about many things. — Luke 10:41She was serving, which is good, but her anxiety exposed a heart that had forgotten the one thing necessary. Don’t let the worries of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word. The same Jesus who told Martha to slow down tells you: only one thing is needed. Sit at His feet.

683
Morning — June 14 — 2 Corinthians 1:5
For just as the sufferings of Christ overflow to us, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. — 2 Corinthians 1:5Paul says that as the sufferings of Christ overflow into our lives, so also does consolation through Christ. Suffering and comfort come from the same source. You don't get one without the other. If you share in His sufferings, you'll also share in His glory. The God of all comfort doesn't waste your pain.

Evening — June 13 — John 9:35
When Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, He found the man and said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” — John 9:35Not “do you understand all theology” or “do you live a good enough life.” Just: do you trust Him? The man answered by worshiping. He’s the radiance of God’s glory, the Alpha and Omega. You can trust Him with everything.

Morning — June 13 — John 15:4
Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me. — John 15:4Jesus doesn’t say “try harder” or “do more.” He says stay connected. Paul said it this way: “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me” (Gal. 2:20). Apart from Him, you can do nothing. But in Him, you have everything. Abiding isn’t mystical passivity; it’s actively trusting the One who holds you.
