When the Israelites saw it, they asked one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. So Moses told them, “It is the bread that the LORD has given you to eat. — Exodus 16:15When Israel saw manna in the wilderness, they didn't know what it was—a bread from heaven, given by God's hand alone—but it was a shadow of the true bread: Jesus Christ, who came down from heaven to give life to the world. The mystery of the incarnation, God made flesh, is the great provision for hungry souls. Don't labor for bread that perishes; come to Christ and be filled.
