For He Himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has torn down the dividing wall of hostility — Ephesians 2:14Christ himself is our peace — not just the giver of peace, but peace itself. The war between you and God is over because of what he did on the cross. He reconciled you to God through his blood, took the record of your sin and nailed it to the cross out of the way, and tore down every dividing wall between jew and gentile. The peace Christ gives isn't the world's fragile truce — it's objective, settled, finished.
