Evening — February 13 — Psalm 119:50

This is my comfort in affliction, that Your promise has given me life. — Psalm 119:50God's Word has quickened — made alive — His people. Christ is the life-giving Spirit, and as the Father has life in Himself, so the Son gives life to whom He wills. He is the resurrection and the life. To those who receive Him, He gives the right to become children of God. His words are spirit and life, and the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword.
