Evening — January 21 — Malachi 3:15

So now we call the arrogant blessed. Not only do evildoers prosper, they even test God and escape.’” — Malachi 3:15The God who fills eternity is also the God who draws near to broken hearts. This same divine condescension appears in Christ, who gives grace and peace to sinners. The kingdom belongs to those who confess their need, while pride stands under certain judgment. The gospel frees us from envying the prosperous by turning our hearts to the searching grace that makes us lowly.
