Evening — May 10 — Ecclesiastes 1:2

“Futility of futilities,” says the Teacher, “futility of futilities! Everything is futile!” — Ecclesiastes 1:2The Preacher pulls no punches: life under the sun is a vapor, a chasing after the wind. Our days are soon gone, and we fly away. But the Gospel flips the script—our citizenship is in heaven, and here we have no lasting city. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever—the one solid reality in a world of shadows.
