Evening — May 4 — John 17:4

I have glorified You on earth by accomplishing the work You gave Me to do. — John 17:4This is the testimony of our great High Priest at the end of His work—He finished what the Father gave Him to do. Where Adam failed and Israel stumbled, the Son succeeded perfectly. He walked in full obedience from Bethlehem to Calvary, and His finished work is the foundation of our salvation. We do not add to that glory; we rest in it and reflect it.
