Evening — May 9 — John 6:20

But Jesus spoke up: “It is I; do not be afraid.” — John 6:20The presence of God transforms human fear by anchoring the believer's security in the Redeemer's character rather than in circumstances. Because Christ blots out transgression and pleads as the Righteous One, the believer's peace flows from a finished work and never depends on shifting events. With guilt removed by God's own act, the soul stands free to trust without terror.
