Evening — November 17 — Galatians 6:7

Do not be deceived: God is not to be mocked. Whatever a man sows, he will reap in return. — Galatians 6:7Whatever a man sows, he will reap in return. This is one of the most sobering laws of the spiritual life. You can't mock God. Sow to the flesh and you'll reap corruption; sow to the spirit and you'll reap everlasting life. Job learned this the hard way—those who plow iniquity and sow trouble reap the same. But here's the Gospel twist: the one who sows bountifully reaps bountifully. What seed are you planting today? Sow righteousness, and mercy will spring up.
