For there is hope for a tree: If it is cut down, it will sprout again, and its tender shoots will not fail. — Job 14:7Finds hope in a tree: cut it down, and it'll sprout again. Job, in the middle of his ruin, grasped at hope from the natural world. He saw what the Gospel confirms: death isn't the end. A bruised reed he won't break. The Lord restores our soul. He wounds, but he also heals. Godly sorrow brings repentance, and the discipline of the Lord yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness. Before i was afflicted i went astray, but now i keep your word. The tree that looks dead will grow again.
