Evening — November 4 — Isaiah 9:6

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. — Isaiah 9:6The prince of peace—not a peace treaty, not a ceasefire, but a person. When the angels sang 'peace on earth' at his birth, they weren't announcing a political arrangement. They were announcing him. He is our peace, and he left us his peace—not the world's fragile, circumstantial version, but his own settled calm. In a world that's constantly anxious, the prince of peace rules over hearts that trust him. That peace passes understanding.
