Evening — October 12 — Matthew 6:10

Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. — Matthew 6:10"your kingdom come"—a prayer that looks forward to the day when Christ returns and every knee bows, and backward to the cross where the king purchased his subjects. We live in the already-and-not-yet: the kingdom has come in Christ, but we're still waiting for its full manifestation. So we pray for more of his reign now while longing for the day when he makes all things new.
