Evening — October 23 — John 6:63

The Spirit gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life. — John 6:63Jesus said this when many disciples were turning away because his teaching was hard. The flesh wants a religion it can manage, but spiritual life doesn't come from human effort. You can't manufacture what only the spirit can give, so stop trying and start asking.
