Evening — October 7 — 2 Samuel 7:29

Now therefore, may it please You to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue forever before You. For You, O Lord GOD, have spoken, and with Your blessing the house of Your servant will be blessed forever.” — 2 Samuel 7:29David knew something we often forget: the only blessing that lasts is the one God gives. He prays, "with your blessing let the house of your servant be blessed forever". We chase all kinds of blessings, but the root of every good thing is God's favor resting on us through Christ, in whom we've been blessed with every spiritual blessing.
