Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.” — John 13:7What i do you don't understand now, but you will later—Peter couldn't fathom why the master would wash his feet, and you can't always see the purpose in the trial. God led Israel through the wilderness to humble and test them, and he passes his children through the furnace to refine them. The affliction is temporary; the glory is eternal—one day you'll see, and you'll worship.
