EVOLUTION‘S COMMON ANCESTOR GOES MISSING

In this episode we look for the alleged common ancestor of humans and chimpanzees and find that it has gone missing. No one knows what it looked like, how long it took to 'evolve' into chimps and humans repectively, how it overcame Haldane's dilemma of impossibly long 'waiting times' for the fixation of a genetic change, or why over the same period of time it evolved into another ape (the chimp) while at the same time evolving into humans having the ability to analyse the DNA of chimps and design zoos to accommodate them.
