Detroit Rising / Lush Grooves returns with its second volume of reinterpretations from This Is Neo-Soul, the live album curated by Roy Ayers musical director Mark Adams and released via Down Jazz Records. Once again, the project brings together a wide cast of producers connected through deep house, broken beat, future soul, and jazz-rooted dance music. We have the pleasure of premiering Makėz’s remix of “Dre’s World,” with the Amsterdam-based duo reshaping the original into a disco jazz house rework aimed straight for the dancefloor.
