Exodus 30

In the place God dwelled everything was anointed, cleansed and there was incense burning. The oil for anointing was a special oil only to be used for this purpose. The incense used was specially made by a perfumer and this perfume was to only be used for this purpose. The things of God were to be holy and only used for holy purposes.
