Perhaps your home has become a little quieter, or maybe you’re simply finding a few moments to slow your thoughts before sleep. It can be tempting to replay today’s conversations or begin worrying about tomorrow. Before those thoughts take hold, let’s sit quietly together and remember that God’s presence is already waiting to give us peace. Scripture (NIV) “The LORD replied, ‘My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.’” — Exodus 33:14 Heavenly Father, thank You that Your presence is not something we have to earn. It is Your loving gift to Your children. As this day comes to its close, we place every unfinished task, every unanswered question and every hidden worry into Your hands. Let Your peace settle over our hearts and our homes. Help us to release tomorrow into Your care and to rest with quiet confidence, knowing that the God who walks with us today will still be with us when a new morning begins. Fear will not win, because the Lord’s presence never leaves those who trust in Him. May the Lord surround you with His peace tonight, give you restful sleep and welcome you into tomorrow with renewed hope.
