Exodus Chapters 5-10-The Plague of a Hard Heart

Join us as we continue our journey through the book of Exodus, focusing today on Chapters 5-10. In todays sermon God goes to war against the gods of Egpyt. Each plague God brought on the land was a direct shot at a specific false god of Egypt. The purpose of bringing the plagues on the land of Egypt were to destroy these fals gods, use them to free His people from slavery, and to show the Egyptians He is LORD. God hasn't just come to free His people, but also to destroy the very things that hold them captive. However the worse plague upon Egypt wasn't the frogs, bugs, darkness, or storms...its was the hard heart of Pharaoh. With each delayed obedience to God, Pharaoh's heart grew harder and harder. Similarly our delayed obedience can do the same in our lives. Jesus has come to free us of our slavery to sin and destroy the things that hold us from a life of obedience to Him.
