He received his Ph.D. in industrial-organizational psychology from The Ohio State University in 1990. He is a professor of management at the University of South Florida, where he teaches and studies workplace behavior.  He is a fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Stanford University recently identified Dr. Becker as among the top two percent of scientists in the world. In addition to his scholarly work, Dr. Becker is the President of Stratafy, a talent management firm. He has consulted with many companies, large and small. Examples are the FBI, McDonald's, Procter & Gamble, and AstraZeneca. Today, Dr. Becker consults with small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). He believes SMEs deserve the same quality of help with human resource management as do large companies. The mission of his firm, Stratafy, is to help SMEs grow and prosper.  Stratafy's key goals are to help SMEs improve employee motivation and boost firm productivity.
