We don't need to look very far to find some very successful and talented investors in our very own backyard. Many episodes ago we introduced Meet The Investor, with Kerr Neilson - the beginning of a series of episodes introducing you to an Australian investor you may not have heard of. After a hiatus, we're returning to this format to bring you the second episode of Meet The Investor. We've chosen Paul Moore. Who is Paul Moore: Paul Moore is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of PM Capital. He developed the strategies and philosophy that guide the investing principles at PM Capital, and have underpinned the fund's consistently good performance, compared to indices, since it began in 1998. Paul started out in 1985 as an equities analyst, and then went on to be a fund manager at BT, looking after the Select Markets American Growth fund. Between 1994 and 1998 Paul was in charge of two of Australia's best performing global equities funds, and his group was awarded International Equities Manager of the Year in 1995 and 1996. Paul is a value investor. One of the biggest lessons from Paul, as you will hear in this episode, is to back your instinct, and to try and uncover assets that are mispriced.
