Dana shares the story of her personal experience with ADHD diagnosis for her son, and the relief she felt when it was diagnosed. Corbin and Dana discuss what ADHD is, how symptoms vary from child to child. She shares her opinions about why the number of children being diagnosed has drastically increased, and some of the potential causes of this.

The conversation shifts to the benefits of the ADHD brain, but she cautions that when the brain is too inflamed, these benefits cannot be harnessed. The body is compared to a trash can that collects toxins and when there are too many, they can overwhelm the body's ability to contain them and inflammation and intense symptoms can be the result.

How to detoxify is addressed, as well as more on how to improve the diet to fully support your child. She shares the impact these changes made on her son in a matter of weeks. The effects of gluten is also discussed in further detail.

Dana also speaks to the role of parenting specific to ADHD, when psychotherapy helps kids and when it doesn’t, and even how proper spine alignment can reduce inflammation and reduce symptoms

Finally, she confirms her conviction that ADHD is a real diagnosis, and is permanent for some people, but that when inflammation is addressed, the symptoms can be reduced or eliminated.
