Slovenian Pavilion at the 53 International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di VeneziaLa Biennale di Venezia radioCona, http://www.cona.si/radio Miha Štrukelj x=0 / y=0 Interference in Process At the Venice Biennale Slovenia will be represented by a project from Miha Štrukelj, conceived as a total artwork and based on four thematic levels and media: painting, wall drawing, drawing and Lego picture. The exhibition deconstructs the picture plane with the aid of the grid as a structural and conceptual basis, where the painting is deconstructed and reconstituted through the disillusioned gaze of the subject. The themes of Štrukelj's artistic practice arise from a fascination with media-manipulated images and expand into the iconography of anonymous urban topography, and the isolated, quiet presence of the human figure. This approach is reflected in all the work, with the exception of the Lego-picture which portrays natural landscapes, a rare motif in Štrukelj's work.more: http://www.slovenianpavilion.comThis podcast is created in collaboration and co-production with RAM: http://www.radioartemobile.it/in the frame Learning Slovenian Lawrence Squire My Slovene learning journey Random Logic - for project 7 Composers produced by radioCona, 2008 radioCona, www.cona.si Random Logic alias Gregor Zemljic & Miha Klemencic are the longest established artists of the Slovene electronic music scene. Borut Kržišnik - for project 7 Composers produced by radioCona, 2008 radioCona, http://www.cona.si Borut Krzisnik is a Slovenian composer of contemporary music, based in Ljubljana. He was born in Zagreb in 1961. Born into a family of diplomats, he moved frequently during his childhood, both within former Yugoslavia and abroad, before finally settling in Ljubljana. Living among different nationalities and experiencing different mentalities helped form his understanding of diversity, something which certainly contributed to his broad approach to music. He played piano as a child, eventually switching to guitar and building up his unique way of composing. He graduated in Psychology from the University of Ljubljana, but soon afterwards devoted himself to music. He released five albums: SACRE DU TEMPS (Station Zuid, 2007), A LIFE IN SUITCASES (First Name Soundtracks, 2006), STORIES FROM MAGATREA (KUD France Preseren, US's release: Falcata-Galia Recordings, 1999), CURRENTS OF TIME (Recommended Records, London, 1991; re-release: Tone Casualties, Hollywood, 1998) and LA DOLCE VITA (FV, Lju
