Fadiel Adams remains in custody pending bail ruling
from Update@Noon · host SAfm
Leader of the National Coloured Congress and MP Fadiel Adams has been remanded in custody until 13 May. Adams made his first appearance in the Pinetown Magistrate's Court today. He faces five charges linked to the alleged interference in the high-profile murder investigation of former ANC Youth League secretary-general Sindiso Magaqa. It was being handled by the KwaZulu-Natal Political Killings Task Team. The State alleges that between November 2024 and January 2025, Adams unlawfully met and interviewed accused persons connected the murder case while they were in custody. In postponing the matter, Magistrate Wendalyn Robinson ordered that Adams not to disclose his detention location.
