What do you do when you are standing on the edge of a miracle? Today in Numbers, we see the intricate process of dividing the spoils of war and the request of Reuben and Gad to settle the land east of the Jordan—a request that tests the unity of the nation. In the New Testament, we witness two desperate stories of faith: a woman who had suffered for twelve years reaches out to touch the hem of Jesus’ garment, and a father watches in grief as his twelve-year-old daughter dies, only to see Jesus restore her life with a single command.Today’s Scripture:📖 Numbers 31:25–32:42 – The distribution of the plunder from Midian leads to a pivotal negotiation. The tribes of Reuben and Gad ask to stay in the fertile lands of Gilead, prompting a stern warning from Moses about the importance of helping the rest of Israel conquer the Promised Land.📖 Luke 8:40–9:9 – Two "twelve-year" stories collide: Jesus heals the woman with the issue of blood and then enters the house of Jairus to raise his daughter from the dead.
