Faithful to the End

Luke 22:20-34 Have you ever made a promise to do something only to find out later that you could not keep that promise? Maybe it was something trivial. However, you likely haven't made any promises to die for someone recently. That's exactly what we see Peter promise to Jesus at the last supper. What should we say about Peter's desire to be faithful? And how should we view our own responsibility to remain faithful to God?
