Joshua 22 We all love unity, don't we? We hear it in our music, we yearn for it in our homes, and we desire to see it in our country. But what truly brings about unity, especially in the church? Today we consider the Israelites and how they found unity during one of their greatest times of spiritual health.

Joshua 21 What does a servant of God look like? Certainly we would think of Jesus who was willing to be the servant of all. However, how should God's people support those who are leading in areas of service? We consider those questions this week as Pastor Sam continues his study in Joshua.

Joshua 20 The psalms speak of finding shelter or protection in God. For the Israelites, this was quite literal! This week we consider the cities of refuge that God instituted and how we too need to take refuge in our great God.

Joshua 16-19 You might think that God's division of territory doesn't really apply to you today. But you'd be wrong! God is always looking to communicate His character to us and there is much for us to learn as we consider how God dealt with the Israelites after they received the land that was promised by God.

2 Thess 2:13-17

2 Thess 2:1-12 Today we honor dads. The Bible has much to say about fathers and the importance of their role in the family. In today's world there is an assault on the honor of fatherhood, and even the definition of fatherhood. So, why is fatherhood to be honored? And what does a good father look like? We consider those questions as we pause this week to thank both our biological fathers and also our spiritual fathers.

Joshua 14-15 You'd think that after all the conquests that the work would finally be done for the Israelites. But receiving the land that God promised would still require faith! Listen this week as Pastor Sam continues his study in Joshua.

Joshua 13 Think about what is important or precious to you. Maybe you think of your family, or a prized possession. But do you know that those things can be taken away? In Joshua 13 we see the children of Israel receive their inheritance. But what was their inheritance pointing toward? And what did it tell them about God? Joshua 11-12 What do you believe about the sovereignty of God? Is it simply the idea that God is in control? Well, sure, it certainly does imply His rule and reign over all of creation. But what does that mean for you and I? Is His sovereignty something to be simply feared and respected? Or is it possible to actually take comfort in it? We consider that this week as we continue our study in Joshua.

1 Cor 11:2-16 What is God's design for men and women in the church. And do women still need to wear head coverings, or were they just for a certain time and culture? We consider those questions as Pastor Andrew continues his study in 1 Cor.

Joshua 10 Have you ever seen the the earth stop spinning? I suspect not! And yet, that's exactly what happened to Joshua and the Israelites. Now, before you cast this passage off as a fairy tale, would you listen to this week's message? And consider the person who is responsible for not only the disruption in nature, but also the victory.

1 Cor 9:19-27 What does service look like in God's family? And what motivates us to serve? We consider those questions this week as Pastor Andrew continues his study in 1 Corinthians.

Joshua 8 Why do we love the accounts of underdogs? Or stories of redemption? We don't need to look any further than the Bible. The theme of redemption is inextricably linked to our humanity - The idea of being restored or forgiven. Well how does God perform this work? We consider one of His works of redemption in Joshua chapter 8 this week as Pastor Sam points us to God's wonderful redeeming power.

1 Cor 9:1-18 Money is a touch topic for most of us. We know how divisive it can be in arguments and in certain settings. And it doesn't help that it can be abused and used as a temptation for evil people. Yet, God tells us how to use our money. And one of those ways is to pay those who minister the gospel. So, how does God instruct in this matter? And why should we pay those who teach and lead? We consider those questions as Pastor Andrew continues his study in 1 Corinthians.

Joshua 7 No one wants to harm their family, let alone destroy it. We love our families. That's why we have phrases like, "blood is thicker than water." Yet, while that may be true, we can make decisions that bring harm. And that harm can extend beyond ourselves, even to the people we love the most. This week we consider Achan and the devastating, metastatic effects of sin.

1 Cor 8 If all Christians follow the Bible, why do they have different opinions about spiritual topics? Is the Bible not clear? Or are people just not understanding it? And what about our conscience? Isn't that supposed to be from God? Yet, we all have different convictions. Listen this week as Pastor Andrew helps us to understand the conscience and how to deal with different opinions about issues in the church.

Joshua 6 As the Israelites approached Jericho God had a peculiar plan for the - walk around the city 7 days in a row without engaging in battle. That's a hard battle plan to legitimize! It didn't make much sense. However, it did require faith. And God was faithful to bring about miraculous victory. So, what does God want you and I to see as we consider this account? Listen this week as Pastor Sam helps us answer that question.

1 Cor 7:25-40 Issues of marriage and relationships were a recurring topic for the Corinthians. In fact, they had even begun to question whether it was better to be single or married in order to serve the Lord. What do you think? Which is easier, and what does God prefer? Joshua 5 Have you ever thought about your identity. In other words, who do you identify with? Is it a person, a social movement, a genre of music? Well, for the Christian there can really only be one answer - God. But what does it mean to identify with God? And how can you tell if you're actually living according to that identity? We consider the topic of identity this week as Pastor Sam continues his study in the book of Joshua.

Matt 5:27-32 Why is lust such a problem in our culture? Perhaps we think of all the media sources that promote sexually charged minds. Or, we look at the way that people dress or dance. But are we truly the first culture that has promoted a high level of sexuality? Did people during Jesus' day struggle with these same things? And if so, what did Jesus say about this issue of lust? We consider that this evening with Pastor Sam.

John 20:19-31 As we celebrate the resurrection this week we step back to consider the blessing comes from believing in the Savior that rose.

Luke 23:44-49 As we approach Easter we take time to consider what Jesus accomplished upon the cross and what those 3 hours of darkness actually meant.

John 12-19 We hear people say that Jesus is a King. However, when He was here on this earth people couldn't understood His Kingship. If we're being honest, maybe we don't always fully understand it either. What does it mean that Jesus is King? And more so, what does it mean that the King went to the cross for us?

1 Cor 7:17-24 There were plenty of problems in Corinth, but there was one that was boiling under the surface that was creating a bitter, ungrateful spirit - Discontentment. We can relate to that one as Americans, can't we? So, what is God's cure for discontentment? And how should we think about the circumstances that God has placed us in? We consider those questions as Pastor Andrew continues his study in 1 Corinthians.

Joshua 4 Why are there examples of God telling His people to remember things? Surely human memory is not that poor! So, what does it really mean to remember when it comes to the works of God or the person of Jesus? And what's worth remembering in your own life? We consider that we Pastor Sam continues a series in Joshua.

1 Cor 7:10-16 As we continue our study in 1 Corinthians we consider the topic of divorce. When is divorce acceptable? And is it ever necessary? Listen this week as Pastor Andrew helps us to find answers to those questions.

Joshua 3 God is holy and He desires holiness for His people. We tend to thinks of holiness in respect to our personal conduct, and rightly so. However, when we do what God asks, does that change how He acts in our lives? And does that cause God to draw closer to us? 1 Cor 7:1-9 When we think of the word sovereignty, what comes to your mind? Maybe you think of needing to trust God during painful circumstances. Finances, how you raise your family, what about your sex life?

Joshua 2:1-24 God condemns sexual immorality throughout His Word. However, in Joshua chapter 2 He uses a harlot to accomplish His will. And she is held up as an example of faith! How does God accomplish this and how should that inform us of how we view our own pasts?

1 Cor 6:12-20 Paul pivots this week to address sexual sin. Is all sin the same to God? Why does Paul spend so much time talking about the nature and consequences of sexual sin? We consider those questions as Pastor Andrew shares this important message about sexual sin.

Joshua 1:10-18 As Israel prepared to enter into the land God had provided there was still much work to be done. They wouldn't just walk in. They needed power. They needed God's power. So, how did God help them, and how does He help us today as we seek to do His will? We consider those questions as we continue our study in the book of Joshua.

1 Cor 6:1-11 What does depending upon God have to do with suing Christians? And why is it such a big deal to take another Christian to court? We consider those questions as we continue our study in 1 Cor.

Joshua 1:5-9 We all want courage, but we usually don't want the circumstances that courage requires. Joshua had those circumstances present in his life. And God used those experiences to develop him into one who was strong and courageous. So, how is God calling you out of fear and into faith? And how does He make us strong and courageous? 1 Cor 5:9-13 When is it time to move on from "Christian" friends? That sounds pretty harsh. However, in our text Paul says that there are some so-called Christians that the church shouldn't be around. So, what would that person look like? And why is it so important to God that the church separates? We'll consider those questions as we continue our study in 1 Cor.

Num 13:16-14:10 As we continue our study in Joshua we pause to look at a younger Joshua in the book of Numbers and we consider this question - What does great faith look like?

1 Cor 5:1–8 When does sin become worthy of church discipline? And what exactly is church discipline? This week we consider the serious nature of sin in the nature and how the church should respond to it as Pastor Andrew continues his study in 1 Corinthians.

Joshua 1:5-9 Fear or anxiety are common features in our world nowadays. There's not a moment's rest for us to find things to become anxious about. Whether it's television, newspapers, facebook, or YouTube, the world is constantly tempting us to be fearful. So, what is the purpose for fear? And how should we respond to it according to the Bible? 1 Cor 4:6:13 When you came to faith did you think that everything would get better? Christians always seem so happy. Perhaps you wondered if life would just get a little easier. We can have views sometimes that just aren't Biblical if we're being honest. The Corinthian church struggled with that. So, what's the solution? 1 Cor 4:1-5 What comes to your mind when you think about the term 'mystery?' Or 'steward?' We could admit that we use these terms in very different ways than the Bible. Joshua 1:5-9 Fear is an emotion that has a lot of power in our lives. Sometimes we may even desire to feel scared! But there can be a fear that is undesirable - fear of financial instability, family crises, health problems. We don't prefer that kind of fear. So, what do we do with fear? And what does God have to say about our fears? Is it a counsel that God gives from afar? Is it simply advice? God had to encourage Joshua when he was fearful. So what did He say? 1 Cor 3:16-23 In our passage this evening Paul is going to talk about a new temple, but not the kind of temple we might imagine. He's not constructing a physical building. He is building something spiritual. And He invites His people to be a part of it. What requirements does God have for His construction crew as it were? And why is this building so important to Him? We consider those questions as Pastor Andrew resumes his study in the book of First Corinthians.

Joshua 1:1-5 As we begin Joshua the book opens with some pretty devastating words for Joshua and the people - "Moses is dead." So, how would God encourage Joshua and empower him to take on this huge role of leading God's people? And what does that tell us about God's character as He relates with you and I today?
