Fall of Porcupine (2023): When You Walk Into a Building, What Floor Are You On?

Fall of Porcupine is a story about being a doctor that hits all the beats you might expect. The angry jaded old mentor, the competent and hardworking nurse, the first death on your watch, the finding a place in a small town. It's not humerous (like Scrubs), or charming (like Scrubs) or even super compelling (like Scrubs), but maybe there is something in its gentleness? It is also, notably definitely and absolute not Night in the Woods. The comparison diminishes both games. Which is why we talk about Night in the Woods about eight times per minute (lol) content warnings: fall of porcupine takes place in a modern hospital, and includes illness and character death (as well as a surprisingly detailed injection minigame!). Our discussion covers the plot and talks about death, the medical system, end of life care in particular, and the pandemic.
