"Family is our Foundation" (Matthew 12:46-50) — Jeremiah Modino

This fall we're revisiting our cultural values as a church; "Christ is our Core," "Mission is our Mandate," "Family is our Foundation," "People are our Priority," and "Generosity is our Gift." Our cultural values are the lived-out expression of Christ in us as followers of Jesus. In this sermon, Pastor Jeremiah unpacks what our third cultural value is all about. Family is our Foundation: We believe we are created to be in relationship with God and in relationship with one another; this is what it means when we are created in the image of a Triune God. Our faith in Jesus is a communal practice that is meant to be done within a community of believers. A person’s private practice shapes the community and the community’s practices shapes a person.
