Family Sociologist - Dr. Jennifer Hook | DPOC EP. 003
from The Dumbest Person on Campus · host John Cobb Media
Sociologist Dr. Jennifer Hook explains why marriage still isn’t equal, how couples divide work at home, and what everyday family life reveals about gender inequality. Dr. Jennifer Hook is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. She studies gender, work, family, and the ways that social policies shape inequality inside and outside the home. Her research explores how couples divide paid work, housework, and childcare, as well as why the “choices” families make are often shaped by larger systems, expectations, and tradeoffs.CONNECT WITH DR.
