Education policy expert Dr. Morgan Polikoff explains who decides what kids learn in school, why American classrooms are so fragmented, and how curriculum, standards, testing, and accountability shape what actually happens in K–12 education.Dr. Morgan Polikoff is a Professor of Education at USC Rossier School of Education and co-faculty director of the USC EdPolicy Hub. Dr. Polikoff studies K–12 education policy, curriculum, standards, assessment, and accountability, using quantitative and mixed methods to understand how education policies are designed, implemented, and experienced in real classrooms. Dr. Jennifer Hook is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
