fear part 2...Faith over fear (with Elder Claude "Deuce" Harris Jr.)

Continuing the conversation of fear from Isaiah 41:10-13 we invited a friend over to delve a little deeper into the conversation. We discussed how being in the will of God does not mean you won’t have trials and tribulations. You can be in a storm and in the will of God because both can happen simultaneously. When facing fear or as some church folk say, when being in a "storm" we need to claim peace…, but in order to claim peace, we must first understand what peace is. Peace has nothing to do with external circumstances. Peace has to do with internal calm, regardless of external circumstances. We must cling to our faith know that faith is the evidence of things NOT seen. We also posed the questions...Is Gods word more potent than what you see. Will you believe Gods word or will you believe your problem and remain paralyzed in your fear. Although the problem/fear is real. you don’t deny the problem, but what did God say??? A lot of believers are experiencing fear/problems because God wants his people to appeal to his word in the midst of their fear because the storms of life are test and test are always designed to show us the level of our faith and to develop us to the next level of spiritual maturity. God wants to grow us through our storm. When clinging to our faith, we must know that faith is not a feeling. It’s acting like God is telling the truth. It’s time to put faith over fear.
