Federal inmate could be given more jail time / Youth curfew to be proposed in Jackson

A federal inmate with under a year remaining in his sentence might be spending more time behind bars than initially planned. Booneville native Joshua Leach has nine months left to serve, but was recently indicted on multiple felony child endangerment charges. A youth curfew is expected to be proposed by a member of the Jackson city council next week. Ward 3 councilman Kenneth Stokes says he plans to introduce the idea during Tuesday's meeting, saying it's a necessary step to protect the city's youth from violent crimes.
