L’house brand di EssilorLuxottica e l’ex tennista rinnovano la partnership attraverso il lancio dei modelli dedicati all’estate 2026 e della relativa campagna, ambientata a Roma con vista sul Foro ItalicoQuinta tappa della collaborazione pluriennale tra i brand RF di Roger Federer e Oliver Peoples, avviata nel 2023 come un dialogo creativo e trasformatasi nel 2025 in una vera e propria partnership: la nuova serie viene presentata sullo sfondo di Roma. Scattata dal fotografo Lachlan Bailey, la campagna (nelle foto) prende forma tra il Foro Italico e una villa romana dal fascino classico. Al centro della narrazione, un confronto simbolico: Federer contro Federer. «Un duello tra l’atleta e l’icona, tra performance e stile, ambientato in un’arena dove il linguaggio dello sport si fonde con quello dell’eleganza contemporanea», spiega una nota di Oliver Peoples.Le due anime di Federer emergono, infatti, da due nuovi occhiali: da un lato il campione, maestro del gioco, istintivo e preciso, indossa R-20, modello a maschera progettato per la performance; dall’altro, l’uomo di stile, composto, sicuro e naturalmente carismatico, sceglie R-19, una montatura da sole elegante, definita da equilibrio, raffinatezza e misura. «Il racconto visivo si sviluppa attraverso i codici inconfondibili del gioco di Federer: la fluidità del dritto, la leggerezza del movimento, la precisione del rovescio a una mano - prosegue il comunicato - Attraverso luce, texture e atmosfera, immagini e film esprimono i valori al cuore della collezione Roger Federer Oliver Peoples: precisione senza eccessi, performance guidata dall’intenzione e una presenza discreta, capace di attraversare mondi diversi con assoluta naturalezza».La release si articola attorno a quattro silhouette inedite, affiancate da nuove varianti colore dei modelli più iconici della collaborazione. R-17, in metallo e con dettaglio del doppio ponte, interpreta la forma squadrata con un’attitudine decisa e contemporanea. Con R-18, la collezione esplora un’eleganza più sottile grazie al profilo squadrato, la lente lievemente rialzata e i dettagli Windsor. R-19 reinterpreta il classico occhiale da sole rettangolare attraverso un dialogo tra acetato e metallo. R-20 introduce una visione contemporanea della maschera: una montatura avvolgente, essenziale e dal segno deciso.
