Episode Description
When we find ourselves experiencing situations we don’t care for, our brain likes to offer us so many thoughts like:
- this is not how it is supposed to be
- it should be different
- I shouldn’t have to go through this
- He/she should not act this way
- I would be so happy if this weren’t happening,
- This is bad
- I must have done something wrong for this to be happening
And on and on. And these thoughts create so many negative emotions that, in turn, create much pain and suffering for ourselves.
Fighting against reality is living in denial. Thinking that if we deny the truth of what is happening, then it won’t happen. Maybe we think that when we resist the reality of what we are experiencing, we have power over it. But just the opposite is true. In this episode we discuss what we create for ourselves when we fight against reality, and how the power truly comes when we accept what is.
Accepting what is isn't easy and may take time. Having a coach to help you get to accepting your reality instead of fighting against it is crucial. Sign up by clicking the link below for a free coaching call with me and let's get you started on your way.
