Her debut feature film "The Year Between", an autobiographical comedy about bipolar disorder received praise from The New York Times, Variety, Roger Ebert, and NPR. The film stars J. Smith-Cameron and Steve Buscemi alongside Heller. Heller's short films have also earned numerous accolades including "Debaters" which premiered at Sundance 2025.
