For those that have listened to the Waffle before, you are about to find out that this episode is a little different to the norm. Usually, we might do a live Q&A, an expert session, or an athlete interview. But this time we are being interviewed by the amazing @lovelauramary. This came about when Laura received a heap of nutrition-related questions from her followers and we were so honoured to be a part of that. Laura is someone that we have respected for a very long time for the main reason that she shares a really raw and personable story. She has been through a lot of life events that have really allowed her to build an unparalleled resilience and has pulled at our heartstrings in many other ways. Her honesty throughout this whole process is very rare, particularly in social media, and it’s also greatly appreciated for this reason. When she sent these questions through it really highlighted the need for us to be present, not only from a scientific space but also from a place of empowerment. She did a poll that we talk about in this episode and it really emphasised how people are feeling about nutrition day-to-day, how much pressure they can sometimes feel, and how much confusion they can feel. We talk about things like: Being aware of diet culture How to build confidence around food How to work through what nutrition is right for us How to define performance for ourselves If anything in this episode resonates with you then please head over to our Instagram page or website. We share lots of empowering pieces to guide you through your nutrition Journey. You can also complete a free preliminary assessment in which you will receive a personalised recording from a member of our performance team to show you what the next steps may be! Let us know your thoughts!
