Finding Your Superpower with Maude Farrell (Episode 231)

from Girls Gone Gravel podcast

On this week’s episode Kathryn and Kristi are joined by ultra runner and pro cyclist Maude Farrell. Maude was the winner of the 2025 Lead Challenge, which is a series of races in Leadville, CO that includes the Leadville Trail 100 MTB, the Leadville Trail 100 Run, and a handful of other races across the summer. Maude talks about the series, including the exciting close finish between her and the woman who finished in second place. Maude describes how she balances training for ultra running and cycling, as well as a full time job, and what keeps her excited about competing. Maude was last on the show in 2022, and since then her life has changed a lot. She was a close friend and roommate of Moriah Wilson who was tragically lost that year. She opens up about the devastation of the loss for the cycling community, and for her personally. Maude also describes how she has learned to live with the grief of losing such a close friend and training partner over the last three years, and what she has learned about herself in the process.Follow Maude on Instagram @maude.tmgRegister for Feisty Fest at https://feisty.co/events/Follow us on Instagram:@feistycycling@feisty_mediaGirls Gone Gravel Website:https://www.girlsgonegravel.com/Support our Partners:SILCA: Use the code FeistyUnbound2026 for 15% off at https://silca.cc/en-ca Wahoo: Learn about the ELEMNT ROAM 3 at https://wahoofitness.pxf.io/6kn0EbMomentous: Use code GIRLSGONEGRAVEL for up to 35% off your first order at livemomentous.comTifosi: Use the code FEISTY2026 for 20% off at tifosioptics.comRegister for Feisty Fest at https://feisty.co/events/
