Hospice professionals know the 5 things people say when they discover you work in hospice.  1. "I could never work in hospice." 2. "That must take a very special person." 3. "It must be really depressing work." 4. The "pity" look. 5. "Let me tell you my hospice story." Hospice has a way of connecting people through a shared experience. Those who have had a family member on hospice feel free to tell their hospice story to those of us who work in hospice. And we love to hear their stories.
