Fix The Drifting

from ConBERTAciones · host Berta P. Weyenberg

While driving, a veering car is a safety risk. When a vehicle drifts out of its lane, it can cause an accident, hurting not only the driver but others on the road. Often, the cause can be something as simple as improper tire inflation, or damage in another part of the car. Either way, it is a sign that something is not aligned—and that misalignment can become dangerous.Today, as I watched a car drifting on the road, I thought about something else. Most newer cars are designed with a warning system. When you begin to drift out of your lane, they make a sound—a gentle alert, a reminder: you’re getting out of alignment. What if we had that in life?Or maybe… we do.Sometimes, that “sound” comes through a trusted voice.A friend. A mentor. A loved one. Someone who sees what we don’t see in the moment and cares enough to speak up.Because the truth is, we all drift at times. We may have the best intentions to reach a destination, but if our thoughts are not aligned with where we’re going—or why we’re going—then that too becomes a risk. We may not arrive at all, or we may get there the wrong way, at the wrong time. There are days when our thoughts are scattered, when emotions try to take control of every decision, and our responses are driven by what is out of alignment within us. In those moments, our behavior begins to drift. And every time our actions don’t align with our character, we impact our testimony. So today, let this be a reminder:Stay close to the voices that lovingly warn you.Welcome correction that protects your path. And be that voice for someone else—with grace, not judgment.Align your thoughts the same way you align your tires—with intention, consistency, and care. Just as you maintain your car for a safe journey, tend to your inner life so your path remains steady. After all, our presence is what people either embrace… or reject.Without fear, with love, and aligned.BW
