Floodwaters Rip Apart Indiana Road As State Route 38 Is Washed Away

from NTA Video Stories

Wayne County, Indiana – Floodwaters have washed away part of State Road 38 just west of U.S. 35, leaving the roadway closed until further notice. Video shows murky brown water rushing through a large gap in the pavement. A metal guardrail has been bent and is partially submerged. A white vehicle drives away along the remaining intact section of the rain-slicked road as the camera captures the surrounding flooded fields, power lines and agricultural land beneath gray, rainy skies. Orange traffic cones mark the damaged and closed section near the end of the footage.
