Florida Economic Consortium (www.FLConsortium.org) CEO, Rod Love has initiated a new youth violence advisory council for ages 15 - 23. The work will be done by the youth for the youth as they look at what is happening today in communities throughout our city. The Consortium is also offering non-profit organizations an opportunity to work with them on tracking their progress - (it's a FREE service available to them for 90 days). April is Second Chance month and The Clean Slate Initiative under the helm of CEO Sheena Meade discussed the barriers to returning citizens. CSI offers the technology to be able to remove the records of individuals living in states that have recognized the initiative. The CEO spoke about the mission to The Audacious Project which is TED's initiative to fund ambitious ideas for social good and received $75 million dollars towards their efforts.
