Foods to Help Reverse Brain Damage - Chef Myron on Recovery Now with Kim Justus

from A Recovery Now · host Kim Justus

Chef Myron Norman is the author of the popular book: Lifesaving FAQs of How Food Reversed My BrainDamage. His passion for the brain started with a family history of neurodegenerative diseases and a hunger for knowledge. However, after an intruder attacked him one night while on his job, he suffered a life-altering brain injury. The research he had spent years consuming would soon prove to be his sole hope to save his own brain. On the culinary side of Chef Myron's expertise, he is a graduate of the American Culinary Federation, most recognized order for professional Chefs and has tested healthy brain recipes for Nancy Emerson Lombardo, Ph.D., Founder of the National Alzheimer's Association and Maria Shriver, Emmy Award-Winning Journalist and Founder of The Women's Alzheimer's Movement. He has also worked alongside celebrity chefs including, Kimberly Brock Brown who is the United States, Southern Regional Vice President of the American Culinary Federation.  Not only a researcher and a chef but also a beacon of hope, Chef Myron is an advocate for promoting stories of healing through knowledge and food. Currently, he leads a collaborative effort with brain injury survivors, educators and medical professionals to establish a Trauma Brain Injury patient family campus with a focus on residential housing, clinical workshops, teaching programs and community research programs centered around nutrigenomics and neurorestorative care.
