"FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS" Wendy Nelson, BYU Women's Conference, May 2007

It has been prophesied that in the latter days that, “Much of the major growth that is coming to the Church in the last days will come because many ofthe good women of the world (in whom there is often such an inner sense of spirituality) will be drawn to the Church in large numbers. This will happen to the degree that the women of the Church reflect righteousness and articulateness in their lives, and to the degree that [they] are seen asdistinct and different, in happy ways, from the women of the world.”(Spencer W. Kimball) Sister Wendy Nelson, in a BYU Woman's Conference talk on May 3, 2007, pointed to this statement and then elaborated on how we can seek out and attain to this glorious mission that we were foreordained to. As covenantal women of the church, we must seek to understand how to gain the power necessary to bring about great miracles, not only to ourselves but to all the sons and daughters of God. We have been given many great and precious promises as we fulfill the measure of our creation. As we strive to understand our individual missions the Lord will bless us with the strength, power, and revelations that we seek to bring about much good and thwart the powers of Satan.
