I set off on a foraging expedition, prompted by a tip from Norma about some wood I could collect before others claimed it. Unable to run due to an injury, I relied on my e-bike, navigating through scenic areas like Queenswood Drive while scouting for manageable pieces of wood. The first location proved unfruitful as the wood was too large, but I eventually found smaller, damp pieces suitable for firewood, which I could carry in my panniers. Along the way, I encountered a peloton of cyclists, neighbors, and the quiet beauty of rural streets, capturing photographs to document the journey.
