Sang Ok is a HK-born-and-raised Korean Forest Bathing guide/trainer with a professional background in landscape architecture and sustainable urban development. For over two decades she has worked in sustainable management consulting, spatial design, urban farming research, brand and retail management. In 2013 she founded wknd Ltd, HK a social enterprise currently based in Mui Wo, Lantau Island. Having grown up in some of the most urbanised cities (Shanghai, Beijing, Seoul and HK) Sang wants to share and remind other urbanites, especially children and elderly, of our innate skills to connect with nature. Her goal is to help people practice mindful and healthier ways of living. Connecting with nature and connecting with people is a theme that runs through the podcast. We discuss “Forest Bathing”, a nature-based wellness activity and “Urban Farming” working towards sustainability and environmental stability. We also discuss “The Humble Room” a co-working, workshop and retail space that has become a Community Space where people can come by and ask questions, it aims to inspire people to think more about community and support their social health.
